The 75th Independence Day was solemnly celebrated on the 15 August 2022 at St Xavier's PU College, Kalaburgi. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Gandhi. The Chief Guest expressed his thoughts and drew back on the history of the nation during the freedom struggles. The coordinator of the program was Mr Jagadish Doddamani. Also present on the dais were The Principal, Rev Fr Elvis Lewis SJ, The Vice Principal, Dr Nandini, The Assistant Hostel Director and boys hostel warden, Br Arun Lobo, The Girls Hostel Warden, Sr Hilda Ferrao.
